GamerGate 2: Phase 2

Alyssa Mercante, the defacto editor of Kotaku, is now targeting Melonie Mac, asking for anyone who has “dirt” on her. She’s also asking for snitches on anyone else who rose to “fame” because of “reactionary” views.

I’m not a fan of Melonie. I think she’s pretty stupid, to be honest. A woman who eats sticks of butter for clout, who believes the Earth is surrounded by a dome that prevents the waters from flooding the world, and the other planets move around in this water outside the dome is pretty stupid.

Mmmmm, eating sticks of butter for clout is awesome!

There’s people with Down’s Syndrome who are smarter than her!

Melonie just passive accepts what people on the Internet tell her to believe, and she’s a “leader” in the right-winged political movement. Did anybody tell her, you can’t be a leader if you’re following Lord Landru?!

Enter in Alyssa. Not only is there a history of anger between them, but Alyssa probably knows much of this stuff. Whom better to write a hit piece about GamerGate 2 than Melonie?!

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel!

That way they can completely discredit the movement by saying all GamerGate 2 supporters are idiots like her.

I’m with Michael Garibaldi. A movement is more important than one person. And this movement is all about creating better games and keeping gaming journalists accountable.

Alyssa doesn’t have to lie at all, Melonie has made her bed and they will crucify her and others. But if we stand together and build something new by coming out from amongst them and creating something separate, then we win anyways. They will lose.

There’s never a time where I’m not reading a indie comic or book on my spare time to relax!

Rippaverse shows this, create something of worth and people support it. Iconic Comics shows this, Kamen America, Black Hops, Soul Finder, Arc Athena, and Butch Killigan are amazing. Dozens of authors writing great books show it.

When indie game devs realize this is the best time to rise up and create content that fans will love, this is all over. It’s funny, I was reviewing marketing content yesterday at work for community marketing and management, which completely supports this focus. Developers should create small communities of fans and sell their product!

Kotaku is grasping at straws by writing a hit piece on such low-hanging fruit. They don’t know how to deal with the real problems – gamers are getting wise to their tactics and refuse to support them. We are winning!

Thanks for rolling with Amazing Gaming Productions!
