Onward Priestly Soldiers

Once you get into the Iconic Comics fandom through Kamen America, checking out other comics they produce comes next. This year, I took the plunge into Soulfinder. I wasn’t disappointed.

Father Ritter is ex-military Catholic exorcist – switching the battles he fights from the physical to the spiritual. It all starts with Demon Match, as he investigates why some people are spontaneously combusting. Temptation abounds, but the father makes it through.

This leads to being inducted into the Soulfinders ministry – his military expertise and spiritual warfare experience making him a potent warrior of righteousness. But in Black Tide and Infinite Ascent, struggles abound. Father Ritter fights evil on so many fronts, and it takes its toll.

Luckily, he has Detective Gregory Chua and Father Reginald Crane (another Soulfinder).

The story is fantastic, and can be very tense at times. When you’re fighting shapeshifting, demonically possessed individuals, things can be very scary. Doug does a fantastic job to keep that tension up.

I highly recommend investing in the Soulfinder franchise.
